The Kentfield offers a hybrid blend of speed for efficient riding and the upright and confident position of a mountain bike. With multi-terrain tires and full rack and fender mounts, it's built for short to medium distance commutes and bike path fun rides. The Kentfield adds the possibility of further exploration outside of your regular commutes or path cruising. Wide-range and simple single chainring drivetrains and lightweight Series 1 aluminum frames make the Kentfield a line of comfortable and sporty bikes for an active lifestyle. Series 1 Aluminum Frame The Kentfield features a Series 1 6061 aluminum frame with disc brake mounts and rack and fender eyelets and fast rolling, multi-surface capable 700c wheels. CrMo BMX Inspired Fork The stylish CrMo BMX style fork has straight blades, disc mounts, and BMX inspired dropouts. Hybrid Geometry The Kentfield features upright seated hybrid geometry that mixes the upright position of a mountain bike with the efficiency of a pavement bike. The Stinson brings a new level of comfort and control to your ride. This model has a lightweight Series 1 aluminum frame with low standover, an ergonomic handlebar, plush saddle, and versatile, high-volume 27.5" tires with mixed tread for control on a variety of surfaces. Design features include our Comfort Control Geometry with upright seating and the ability to touch the ground with the forefoot, while maintaining proper saddle height for pedaling efficiency. SERIES 1 ALUMINUM FRAME The Stinson features a Series 1 6061 aluminum frame with exceptionally low standover, disc brake mounts, and rack and fender eyelets and high-volume 27.5” wheels. Stinson ST models further lower the standover height with a step-through frame design. COMFORT CONTROL GEOMETRY Marin Comfort Control geometry allows you to touch the ground with your forefoot when the saddle is at the correct height for full pedaling leg extension. COMFORT SADDLE All Stinson models utilize our comfort saddle, which is wide and supportive, but not *too* squishy. The perfect balance of comfort and efficiency. With over 20 fork and frame mounts you can now choose to mount fenders, rear carrier, low-rider front carrier (or two cages for water bottles/storage) and three front triangle water bottles. We set out to ensure every Renegade rider will experience the ultimate in adventure bike performance regardless of their frame size. Most of our competitors simply design one fork and strap it to every frame size. While this may work just fine for a bicycle that's designed to be ridden with a single tire size (think a road racing bike), it significantly impacts the handling and ride quality of an adventure bike when swapping out your 28's for 32s, 40s or even 47mm tires.
